Bass guitarist and double bass player Steve Amadeo has been touring and recording since 1998, playing at music venues and festivals in the UK and Europe for a variety of original artists.
After a move to Birmingham to study jazz at Birmingham Conservatoire, Steve began a long and continuing association with singer/songwriter Ian Parker, touring widely and recording five albums and two live DVDs. As well as full-band electric gigs with Ian, Steve currently plays double bass in Ian´s acoustic trio.
Steve is part of a production team lead by studio veteran and ex-Paul McCartney producer/engineer Matt Butler and regularly works on recording projects for a wide roster of clients.
Recent musical associations include album work for a range of singer/songwriters including Sefton, Paul Riley, George Montague and Jen Armstrong. Steve can also be heard on the debut album of folk/pop/roots band ´The Musgraves´. He recently toured Germany with Bluegrass band ´The Toy Hearts´ and in 2010 featured on recordings for Dutch artist Martin van der Starre and a Netherlands television special for Dutch pop legend Jan Smit.
As a bass teacher, Steve maintains a teaching schedule from his home near Liverpool, UK. His concept for teaching is based on the student´s need to learn to play intelligently and with awareness in order to develop strength, authority, and confidence as a musician.
As of May 2012 Steve is happy to announce that he is now a full-time member of guitarist/songwriter Aynsley Lister´s band and is looking forward to touring and recording with him.
