Loz Thomas is a freelance professional drummer working mainly in London, Brighton and in Europe.
He first started playing the drums at the age of ten and has played in many professional situations since in a variety of different styles. He is influenced by a very wide range of music from Hip Hop, Soul/Funk to Jazz and World music. Loz has played live on 'Later with Jools Holland', on various BBC radio live sessions, at the Corke Jazz Festival, and regularly plays at prestigious London venues such as the Jazz Cafe, Ronnie Scotts, Tate Modern and King's College. He has recently recorded drums for latest Laphroig Whiskey advert.
He is a member of the band 'The Mummers', who have two commercially released albums to date. The band has had successful tours in the UK and in Europe and regularly plays at festivals such as Glastonbury, V Festival and Latitude.
Loz is an Associate Lecturer in Drum Kit at Chichester University, this is a position he has held since 2011.
