Daniel Ellis was educated at the Purcell School of Music and furthered his training at the Royal Academy of Music He graduated in 2002 with a Portgraduate Diploma, and was the recipient of the Zildjian Cymbal Prize. Once Graduated, Daniel freelanced for five years, playing with Orchestras including the BBC Concert Orchestra, the Ulster Orchestra and the Bournemouth Symohony Orchestra. In 2006, Daniel became the percussionist for the WickedtheMusical, where he has remained. At the same time, he has had the opportunity to work extensivelyas a freelancer, playing percussion for, amongst others, Rufus Wainwright, Chess in Concert and the BBC. Since last year, Daniel has been percussionist for the John Barrowman tour, and looks forward to touring again later in the year.
